Dana P. Contino LMSW

Dana Contino, LMSW has been working with individuals, couples and groups since receiving his Master's degree in Social Work from Adelphi University, 2002. Mr. Contino's previous experience includes substance abuse counseling with women and families at the Coalition on Child Abuse and Neglect in Garden City. He brings extensive experience in men's issues as a Certified co-leader for the Mankind Project International's, New Warrior Training Adventure, and as a past Center Director for their NYC- Metro Community Center. He has over ten years experience in men's work emphasizing a person's psychological safety as the guide for they're inner work. He utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, gestalt, E.M.D.R. and Jungian methods and theory. Working through the obstacles of depression, grief, anxiety and trauma takes time, patience and commitment to a one step at a time experience toward integration of vulnerability, strength and wholeness.
